Aimed at the International Market we are delighted to confirm we have been successful with our bid to VisitEngland/VisitBritain for Continuation Funding. This means we can now focus on:
- Development of a new Seafood Coast Food Festival
- Development of new Short Break Packages and Visitor Experiences
- Host an increased number of international journalists and inbound tour operators
Following our comprehensive six month research project, we have successfully secured an additional £100,000 from the VisitEngland Discover England Fund. A new programme of work will now commence, working in partnership with local businesses to develop new Seafood Coast products to specifically target markets in Germany, Scandinavia, Holland and USA, as well as plans to also develop a new International England’s Seafood Coast Festival.
We have engaged with over 200 local tourism businesses and organisations through the first stage of the project to map the full potential of England Seafood Coast. The England Seafood Coast brand has strong links to local food and drink, walking, heritage and culture and has been identified as having global appeal.
