The ERBID Board continues to monitor visitor trends carefully and our thanks go to those partners that take the time to complete the confidential monthly English Riviera Performance Survey.
2017 has certainly been a more challenging year, with a combination of national events back in June (election and terrorist attacks) negatively impacting what had been a fairly strong booking pattern up to that point. The later wet weather also led to further uncertainty and has resulted in a very late booking pattern this year.
Listening to concerns being expressed by some partner businesses the ERBID Company took action and invested in the Last-Minute Summer Campaign. This would not have been possible without the ERBID in place.
The ERBID Company will be producing a detailed 2016 v 2017 Visitor Trends Analysis which will be posted in the Research Section of the B2B web site as soon as possible.
Research undertaken with other leading UK resorts has revealed that the English Riviera has held up well in 2017.
