BID Regulations dictate that the term for any Business Improvement District (BID) is 5 years. The English Riviera BID (ERBID1) was first established in January 2017 and ends on 31st December 2021. For our work to continue an independent renewal ballot has to be held and this will be happening between Thursday 27th May – Thursday 24th June. 1200 eligible businesses (see pages 20-21 of the Final ERBID2 Business Plan) will be sent by post a Ballot Paper which you need to return in the post for your vote to count. The Ballot is conducted completely independently of us as the proposer of ERBID2.
We appreciate that this is a very busy time so please look out for your Ballot Paper. This is what a template of the Ballot Paper looks like. The Ballot Papers are being posted from London on May 27th. Please note that the Ballot Paper provides provision for you to delegate to an authorised signature if you are unable to return the Ballot Paper personally.
We strongly recommend that you return your Ballot Paper ASAP.
Occasionally Ballot Papers get mislaid. If this happens please email firstname.lastname@example.org urgently and the necessary paperwork will be forwarded to you, which you must complete independently and forward directly to the Electoral Services Agency. We cannot directly assist you in this matter.
You are voting on the proposal for the English Riviera BID Company to continue operating for a second term and a further 5 years (2022-2027) with the full details of the ERBID2 proposal including full details of the Ballot and Levy Structure presented in the ERBID2 Final Business Plan.
