The English Riviera BID Company have published their Final ERBID2 Business Plan and if voted on positively by Eligible Businesses in an independent renewal Postal Vote (May 27th – June 24th) will raise £5 million for promoting the resort for the next 5 years (2022-2027).
Over 250 people were consulted in preparing the Final ERBID2 Business Plan that recognises the importance businesses put on the need for more investment in year round Events. To make this happen the ERBID Company and Torbay Council have agreed a new partnership in which both parties will invest £100k per annum for 3 years from 2022 making a new £600,000 joint fund to invest in Events. But this will only ‘come into play’ if a majority vote is secured in the renewal ballot.
The Final Plan will also focus more on Digital Marketing recognising that TV viewing patterns have changed through lockdown. The minimum Levy contribution will also remain at £150 per annum recognising the pressure businesses have been under as a result of COVID.
