Launched on January 4th 2017 the English Riviera Business Improvement District (ERBID) Company is a private sector led, independent company that has been established to manage and implement the ERBID 5 Year Business Plan (2017-2021) and represents 1000+ Torbay Tourism Businesses as ERBID Levy Payers. The company is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. The ERBID Board hold regular Board Meetings and approved minutes and related Management Accounts are uploaded on this page for reference.
The ERBID Board is made up of 13 Directors: 7 elected Directors voted by Company Members, 4 co-opted Directors, the company Chief Executive and the Council Officer responsible for tourism. All Board positions are unpaid with the exception of the Chair who receives a small stipend (up to £5,000 per annum) in recognition of the time required to undertake this important role. During the year ended 31st December 2018, the Chairman choose not to draw his stipend enabling this to support the Destination Marketing of Torbay.
The ERBID Board is supported by a number of ‘Focus Groups’ including Groups specifically set up to focus on: Destination Marketing, Food and Drink and Attractions and Activities.
